Here the center wing section is dry fit in place. Once glued, the engine bay can be readied for the engine and accessories.

Just a quick update to keep me motivated: I finally got the fuselage halves together and I primed the rear to get a better look at how well the smoothing and shaping is working. The primer shows a few rough spots here and there, but overall it looks pretty good. I'll rescribe some panel lines, add some lost rivets, and then I can finally move forward. Literally, forward to the radiator and landing gear wells, so I can attach the lower wing and start work on the engine bay.
