Oleg: this kit has pretty much mis-alignments and quite poor fit overall. I sure hope HB is better than this...

Just about everything else still to do =o)
This kit is somewhat a challenge due to pretty bad fitting...

Yes Holger, that's painfully obvious to me =o)
How about newer Italeri kits? Same issues? I'm about to ban Italeri from ever coming close to my stash...

Andreas, the new kits from Italerie are good, their helicopter kits are great. The rest... 🙁 But thats only my two cents.

I have banned Italeri kits (with the exception of trucks). That includes Tamiya reboxings. On the box: "Plastic made in Italy". I never had a good feel with them. Could be me, true. I spoke to a guy at last SMC, he suggested to ritually burn and bury them. I agree

Thanks Roland and Hans! That 1/48 A-10 caught my attention...and since I have a really bad case of AMS, it looks like I can have my cravings satisfied also =o)

Thanks Martin! Yes, gunmetal, don't know if I'm to stick with it or if it should be more blackish?

Finally got the basic camouflage done.
I'm thinking about filters - grey or buff(-ish)? What do you guys think?

A combination of both may work. Being that its in the multi camo buff would accent it nicely. During Desert Shield/Storm, the sand beat these birds up pretty good and so it was a tan appearance along with the general grime.

Thanks Bryn, that was my thinking too, just the desert environment itself would be aggressive on the aircraft. I'll start with buff I think, just have to get clear cote and decals on first.

Quite an excellent job on so many tiny details in 72scale! Did not think it's 72 until I checked, great work 👍

Thanks Slavo! It's been challenging and I'm developing an allergy towards both 1/72 and Italeri on the way.

pls don't put all 1/72 kits on the Italeri heap.. some manufacturers do make descent models, even in 1/72... Nice paintjob by the way 😉

Thanks Bart! Just thinking 1/72 isn't for me, I like it larger, less need for magnifying glass and such =o)

Well, that's true Patric, but I'm willing to trade of that space =o)
1/72 isn't for me...(and neither is Italeri). I'll stick with 1/48 for things with wings...

I agree with you on Italeri. I have not built many planes...none in 25 years just tanks, but thinking of trying my hand at planes again. Even ordered a 1/48 tank to display next to a 1/48 plane.

That's nice Patrick, haven't explored the 1/48 scale range of vehicles that much, the little I've seen has mostly been WWII era but maybe there's modern vehicles also?
