Maverick builds a Goose!
Pilot detail leaves a bit to be desired
The pilots really need to pee
Painting only helps so much. The pilots are identical, have their legs crossed, and the control sticks - which the Goose didn’t have - are molded as part of their legs.
Airbrushing success with the interior! (Or lack thereof). Over sprayed some parts of the right fuselage a bit, but overall looks pretty good considering it was my second time ever using an airbrush (the first being about 35 years earlier - with the same airbrush!).
Lindberg kindly designed this kit to save you time! Just because each side has 4 windows doesn’t mean you should have to glue 4 parts!
Other timesavers include forgoing the instrument panel, flight controls, cargo area, passenger seats, the floor, and the ceiling!

Comparison with another quality figure - the Fujimi 1/48 Gazelle pilots. The Gazelle Pilot has clearer detail (even though he’s only 5 feet tall with tiny legs and a gigantic head). The Goose crew are more proportional and more realistically sized, but they look like the Terminator T1000 practicing to take human form while urgently needing to use the bathroom.
Closer look.
Pilots now glued in place. The cockpit is finished. No, I didn’t forget the instrument panel. There isn’t one.
Then again, there’s no interior behind the pilots either.
Fuselage finally glued together. Some seams need work.
There’s a big gap between the sides and the roof on both sides.
Probably shouldn’t have used a twist tie around the engine while gluing - some remained behind and will need to be sanded off.
Sink marks on both ailerons and a part-wide copyright date on the left to fix. Why, Lindberg???
Painting has begun! The blue is not quite as close of a match as I thought it would be…

Watching - just to see if the rest of the kit is any better than the pilot figures!

Fabulous commentary. 👍 Time savers in p16 so perfectly tongue in cheek 😉

Also meant to say nostalgia alert. Loved Tales of the Golden Monkey in the 80s, and Cutters Goose was the star of the show.
