I've been studying that too. Best I can come up with is... vacu-formed plug. I await the reveal...

The front canopy part has an air bubble and indeed, I am preparing it to be the "master" for a vac-form canopy. I will try to share more soon (but worling at home with two small todlers does not leave a lot of relaxing time at the modeling bench).
Cheers

Thank you Joshua. I've used Mr.Color lacquers (the light green is my mixture, but the earth and sand colours are straight from the bottle (just heavily diluted with their thinner).

Hi Joshua:
I do sometimes. The decals I will be using are from a Chinese manufacturer and for those I usually try out Mr Mark Setter and Softer first. I use Micro Set and Micro Sol when decals are more fragile.

Hi Joshua:
Here's a photo of the decal sheet ([img1]), directly from the ebay page where I bough it. The quality is not the best; the color register are a bit off and the used printer leaves very noticeable dots of color (instead of a continuous film of color, that we can find in better quality decals). But it was the only option I found to depict aircraft #267!

They are Israeli markings indeed!
The attached profile is for the aircraft I am trying to model (the profile is from the Isradecal book on the F-15I Ra'am).

Almost completed! I still need to add some heavier staining around the exhaust nozzles.
I hope to complete it soon.

Look really nice and clean. You must have spent a long time on that canopy.
