A quick mojo restorer, to keep the mind of the Italeri truck

Cockpit is basic and a bit bare. The rest of the kit is a joy for now. Little flash, some sanding. No filler needed yet

Oooo, Martin with an 86. Taking a seat!

Welcome Donald, don't get your hopes up to high!
Minor filler on the belly and spine. Unfortunaley, I glued the halves a bit offset, so sanding was needed.

I got a foldable spray booth Saturday. Despite it being foldable, it still takes a big bite of my limited work area. What I really like is the lack of fumes after the Alclad 👍

Love the Sabre! Looks great so far, Martin!

Well, Martin, and the result looks fine to me. Are you gonna build this as in the photo?

Thank you Gordon and Lode. It will be almost as the project picture. A bit less shiny I think 😄

That looks like a nice kit - watching

Airbrushing on Vallejo glossy black is my favorite. 🙂 Super smooth. Supposed to be used for metal paint, but works nicely for any other paint.

if somebody can get this to shine, that will be you, Martin. i have full trust in your abilities. once you are back from "America" you will no doubt figure this one out!

Calling her "Misery" is generously upbeat. What a b***h she is. Perseverence is being replaced by plain stubborness on my part. She will be finished, either as a model or as time capsule, burried in the garden.

She is being tough on you, no doubt. but you will success and make her shine 🙂

You did finish her against all that she did against you. Well done!

Tough lesson indeed, had to strip my Hurricane lately too.
Throw it away and switch to the HB or Airfix Sabre to get the mojo back 🙂
Got the leftover German HB decals, in case you'd like to repaint her grey&green😉

Thanks for the offer Łukasz, but the only time I'll be touching this girl is when I need room in my display cabinet

Have you tried using Solvset? That stuff melts damn near anything.

No I haven't Don. To be honest, I'm not interested in another bottle of softener, while I already have three. I do appreciate the tip, thank you.

Even in the display cabinet, this thing keeps haunting me. Repairs needed and effected.

What the hell happened?

Donald, my wife happened. She occasionally dusts the cabinet. She claims she never breaks anything, but miraculously pieces are wandering around the cabinet...
Ronald, just plain stubborn 😄

What a perseverance with this 1 😄

Glad you were able to fight this one to a win. I had my own fight with their 1/48 version and their unbelievably thick decals, need to acquire some super strong softener! 👍
