Looks really nice I think. I wonder, I've seen on more than one tomcat model here, maybe it's just with the D versions, I don't see any trace of the extendable fins just beside the two large air intakes. Maybe they removed them after the F-14A?

Is the ocean photo in the background blurry? Maybe you could get a better photo, if you had a sharp ocean texture photo in the background, and used a shallow'ish depth of field for the foreground tomcat? Or, just getting a better depth of field that way, by relying on any blurring made by the camera, if only slight, instead of relying on a blurry background?

Very nice work Zhou! Very realistic finish and awesome presentation. Well done!
Treehugger, the glove vanes were disabled and welded closed on all F-14As rather early in their service if I remember correctly. New production F-14Ds did not have them at all but upgraded ones still had welded closed vanes I believe.

Thanks all! I am happy with the outcome and also glad that you guys like it! To Daniel, you have surprised me with your WIP progress, and I am happy to see the in-flight idea also worked with your VF-2 bird!

Thank you, I first wanted to do a wheels on deck trap-scene - but seeing yours soar over the free water somehow made me change my mind later on 🙂
