Great to see this kit built by a pro, you achieved an awesome result!
I yesterday received mine and am planning the exact same version soon. Still got the SHG decals left from my trumpy F-18F build - seems you fought the same problems with low vis turning to nearly in-vis decals with these😉 Hope I can get it to work by using some more white in my grays this time.

Thank you for the kind words Daniel. This Revel looks good for the first time, but unfortunately it's a disaster. I bought it to see what it is as soon as it appeared on the market. I won't do this again. 🙂 Definitely Trumpeter is a better set. I made a resin copy of the engine (nozzle) section (last 1.5cm) right next to the nozzle, from the Trumpeter F/A-18F because the Aires nozzles (dedicated to the Trumpeter model) do not fit the Revell. They have a diameter that is about 2mm wider than those of Revell. Here, the fuselage of the plane is very badly made. There was a lot of putty work, but it worked. Honestly .... I will not recommend this model 🙂. When it comes to SHG decals, there is indeed a problem with the shade of gray. They are slightly too light 🙂, it took me a lot of work to adjust the camouflage color. 🙂

Yeah, thats what I've heard - and the trumpeter is not what I'd call a good kit as well... I saw this extremely cheap and just bought it mainly to see how much of a disaster it is myself^^
I hope it looks as good as yours when the battle is over 😄

F/A-18E Super Hornet 168912 VFA-87, USS George H.W. Bush, July 2017
Also present on the anti-ISIS cruise of 2017 was VFA-87 flzing the singel-seat F/A-18E. Like VFA-213, VFA-87 was engaged in striking Terrorist Targets. 168912, however, went a step further and shot down a Syrian Air Force Su-22 on June 4, 2017, using an AIM-120 Amraam Missile. A Syrian flag and Su-22 Silhouette were added to this jet's nose shortly after the kill took place.
