The chrome strips on the running boards are 'Bare metal foil. Ultra chrome.' A most tedious job if ever there was. !

The burnishing of the foil takes some care and patience, mainly to make sure that the foil goes well down into the recesses and stays put while cutting away all excess.
The rear window, and yes, now you mention it. There is a piece of lint caught in the foil, but that will be removed as time goes on.
To make sure there are few as many problems with the adhesive on the foil from the factory. I also applied some 'Micro Scale foil adhesive' to the clear parts which helped a great deal in making sure the foil didn't lift due to the extraordinary amount of handling required to achieve the result of the chrome window surrounds.
I used a pin in a vice grip to produce the ventilation holes on the front of the 'grill'.

The Germans loved their chrome bits. And these G4's were famous for it.
"Alclad" chrome paint has given the bright work a true luster that comes with these big beasts.
