I agree with Neuling, more photos please! (what hue did you decide for, i.e. brand and colour? There is still disagreement if it was faded black or rather dark blue or 'plum', you know...)

Hi all, thanks for feedback, I added some additional pictures... meanwhile I closed the canopy - looks better to my opinion.
Regarding the color, I did not do much historical research, this project was meant to be oob and should be done as quickly as possible. So decided to go for Tamiya´s proposal and mixed the color on myself. I tried to achieve a faded and used look by using oilpaint wash this time (I usually did that by airsbrush in the past). So it was a project with new techniques as well.

What I can recommend any time is Tamiya's P-47 in 1:48, a superb kit which goes together really well. The right choice if you don't have much time due to family and job...
