These first quick photos open this build report on the Eduard/ Kopro Su-7. I will choose the attractive Indian machine - but it will be a long way to go, as the plastic parts from Kopro often need to be reworked and trimmed.
The excellently made "Eduard Brassin" ejection seat is really a stunner. Around 21 parts - counting all the partly tiny scratched parts - come together to form a very handsome reproduction of the original. The resin casting is a sensation

Feel welcome!
A little filling here and there and the thing will be ready! No, seriously, some putty work will be needed, but the shapes already look promising.... big.

A small update on the "Fitter": the essential components are united and the rear has already been sprayed white for the attractive appearance of the Indian version. Now the transition of the large bow probe has to be sanded before the replacement metal part of the pitot tube is inserted.

Thank you very much! Eduard's Brassin seat is indeed a real splendour and full of details!

Gives me warm feelings seeing this kit which I also built in my teens, the Revell issue. Very memorable. I think this airplane deserves a new kit in 1:48 so we can finally put the old moulds to rest.

I agree; a lot of filler is used here. Fortunately, there are already a few aftermarket sets that can be used to give the old lady a leg up.

The red and white tail was painted and- a nice, satisfying job, the first section of aftermarket brass pitot tube could be inserted, filled and sanded.

That's some impressive masking work on the stripes, and the ejection seat looks awesome 👍

The Su-7 is nearing completion. Although the painting was quite time-consuming, it was a real pleasure. The new Eduard etched parts and the like do this not too detailed basic kit really good.

The Indian Su-7 is now completed! All in all a somewhat elaborate kit, all the wonderful Eduard "Brassin-erie" doesn't help, on the contrary, it only makes this somewhat too rough kit more elaborate and tedious.
In any case, the finished Su-7 looks mighty impressive on the table, so one is happy to put up with all that!
Thank you for all the active contributions and comments, thank you for your interest!

I know what you went through Roland!! A very crappy kit. But it turned out great mate. The only thing I can recommend, when you decide to build another one.., is to purchase the Quickboost louvres and air scoops, they'll look so much nicer than the kit ones. Also the nose cone needs to be much more up front. I noticed that after my duo build was done..!

Your comments motivate and make me a little proud throughout! Thank you for your feedback!
Erik, I can only agree with your advice. The air scoops could still be drilled out, but the louvres remain a weak point.
One of the next projects will be a Su-17 in similar Eduard equipment and packaging, I am already curious how this will go.
