![Album image #1 Album image #1](/albums/img/1/3/5/1003135-18821-59-720.jpg)
Preparing for the painting includes also the anti-slip areas on the helicopter. I marked everything, put on some black color and sprinkled flour on it
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/1/3/6/1003136-18821-39-720.jpg)
The result. Better than the decals I think.
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/1/3/7/1003137-18821-37-720.jpg)
Now it is prepared for it's base color.
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/1/3/8/1003138-18821-33-720.jpg)
Painted the original color on the helicopter.
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/1/3/9/1003139-18821-76-720.jpg)
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/1/4/0/1003140-18821-86-720.jpg)
In the forground my first CH-53 (84+73). The color matches not to the 85+12 because its green olive (olive). The 85+12 (background) is painted in yellow olive (gelbolive)
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/1/4/1/1003141-18821-36-720.jpg)
Tried to build some blades for the main turbines
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/1/4/2/1003142-18821-18-720.jpg)
Main rotor blades are painted too.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/1/4/3/1003143-18821-76-720.jpg)
The rear rotor is painted in it's colors. Notice the rods in the middle of the blades. They are custom made too.
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/1/4/4/1003144-18821-79-720.jpg)
Masking for the strips to the food steps. They are wrong on the decals sheet: grey. Those stripes are only grey, if the helicopter is painted in a three color camouflage. *No* CH-53 Gs is painted in three color camouflage. They all are painted like mine: yellow olive. So the strips have to be white.
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/1/4/5/1003145-18821-38-720.jpg)
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/1/4/8/1003148-18821-68-720.jpg)
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/1/5/0/1003150-18821-74-720.jpg)
Befor the decals willbe on the model, it has to undergo a shiny clear cote 🙂
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/1/4/6/1003146-18821-60-720.jpg)
The decals for the main rotor blades
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/1/5/2/1003152-18821-85-720.jpg)
Now it is "my" helicopter. The decals are custom made
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/1/4/7/1003147-18821-89-720.jpg)
![Album image #17 Album image #17](/albums/img/1/4/9/1003149-18821-34-720.jpg)
Starting with the decals
![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/1/5/3/1003153-18821-21-720.jpg)
Those white stripes are peinted too. They are on the blades for maintenence reason: they show where the balance point is and where to locate the support frame in case of removing the blades.
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/1/5/4/1003154-18821-67-720.jpg)
After the decals are on it, I gave 85-12 another layer of clear cote
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/1/5/5/1003155-18821-94-720.jpg)
![Album image #21 Album image #21](/albums/img/1/5/1/1003151-18821-63-720.jpg)

![Album image #25 Album image #25](/albums/img/1/6/0/1003160-18821-67-720.jpg)

![Album image #33 Album image #33](/albums/img/2/1/6/1003216-18821-21-720.jpg)
During the completition, Eurocopter visited us and added some lugs to the 85+12. Well. So I had to add tem too to be correct. In the picture some of the custom made antennas - seen in the next two pictures.
![Album image #34 Album image #34](/albums/img/1/8/4/1003184-18821-22-720.jpg)

![Album image #43 Album image #43](/albums/img/1/9/3/1003193-18821-65-720.jpg)
Building the whipers better than the kit - they were molded amateurish to the glass part.
![Album image #44 Album image #44](/albums/img/1/9/4/1003194-18821-89-720.jpg)
Looks much better
![Album image #45 Album image #45](/albums/img/2/2/3/1003223-18821-30-720.jpg)

![Album image #46 Album image #46](/albums/img/1/9/5/1003195-18821-33-720.jpg)
It's done
![Album image #47 Album image #47](/albums/img/1/9/6/1003196-18821-99-720.jpg)
Painting some ground equipment. One "boxy thing" will have a 9V block to support power without using a regular power outlet and transformer.
