The Kit!
Only a few pieces in I started modifying and trying to add detail
Drilled out gun barrels. This was very fiddly but well worth it
The smoke dischargers on the rear took a lot of effort to assemble
Drilled out the lights to add wire

PE details on the hatches
The commander's sights were another tedious detail, but the PE looks so much better than the kit's plastic
Chiseled off the handles on the hull
Drilled out holes using 0.4mm PCB drill bits by hand and bent wire to make han
The handles were each glued with superglue from the underside
Some wax on a stick works fairly well as a makeshift pick and place tool for PE
The tow ropes were replaced with twisted wire, and i carved a sandbag to fit around the light guard
All the PE on the hull in place
I wanted to add some detail to one of the turret stowage bins, so soaked some layout paper in diluted PVA
this was then moulded into shape with cockt
After a day or two it was dry and surprisingly soli

Parts washed ready for painting
Tried AMMO Oneshot primer for the first time
Trying to prevent dust, I used some propogating tubs for gardening

I darkened the mix and tried post-shading the panel lines etc for the first time, so happy with the results!
Painting up the roadwheels
The individual track links were lined up on tape before being glued. I left them to dry for a short while before carefully taping them up in place
The lower track runs complete. I had an upper and lower run for each side, and a short section of 4-6 links to go around the sprocket wheel
More detail painting and decals done
The decals are quite thick
Weathering with oils
After wiping off excess oil with odourless thinners
Tracks glued in place with superglue
I wanted the TC to be removable, so I left one of the spikes in his left leg and drilled a hole in the turret basket. He's sits in place nicely and can be pulled out without much difficulty

Album info
Build of Tamiya's model, with Eduard photo etch details and individual plastic tracks. The PE was quite a challenge but I'm happy with the result, the main difficulty was not making a mess with the superglue.
