This will be my first attempt of a 1/35 scale model AND not an aircraft. 🙂

I remember building this kit while serving in Lebanon in 1989. I thought it was awesome back then. Looking forward to see your final result.

Painted the jeep with Vallejo Model Air Desert Pink. Some of the ancillaries painted a variety of desert colours. 🙂
Thanks for the kind comment and like Bruce. You're right, I'm enjoying this model so far. 👍

Some chipping and scratching. Jerry cans added to the rear of the jeep. Underside of the jeep started to colour with black where appropriate. 🙂

Back of the jeep filled up with ancillaries. Cam net added to the front left hand side. Gun mounts added. Sprayed with gloss varnish so I can start the washes. 🙂

This denotes a Willy's Jeep used by the SAS in the Western Desert of North Africa in 1942.
I weathered the vehicle with a mix of desert sand and light yellow ochre, using a mix with thinners to apply to under the wheel arches etc. I then added the steering wheel etc. and the weapons and added a dusting of desert sand and light yellow ochre brushing the loose powder around the vehicle.
Now completed, I really enjoyed building this jeep, my first 1/35 scale vehicle.
Thanks to Patryk S, Daniel K and Simontie for the likes. 👍

Great effort for a first 35th!
"Pink, my favourite colour" as someone once wrote.

Thanks for your kind comment Andy, it was good to build something different and also try out some other weathering techniques. 👍
