the left side (and right side) of the body displayed are based out of one single decal. so very difficult to adjust and usage of a lot of microsol....
I also corrected the issue on the roof

I'm not really a car guy, but I have to applaud you on your skills, and effort, on this kit. I totally agree with Kyle, on his comment. We are, our own worse enemy! I shelve builds, on the most stupid of things, purely because of my own OCD with paint and finish. When really, there's nothing wrong with it? Sometimes, we strive too much, to make an accurate example, and forget, that the actual enjoyment, is meant to be in building it? But that Union Jack decal, would look awesome on one of my trucks 😉

Indeed. I too struggle to remember it should be fun!! Ah yes Bozzer, I can see it now. A nice American tractor with a big sleeper complete with Union Jack livery. Magnificent!

what a disaster !!!! I applied the varnish, and then blisters everywhere on the decals.... first time it happens to me. So disappointing.

The decals are reacting with the varnish. Did you use something special?

well, I used microset/microsol for the decals and then the varnish (one day after), so nothing special from my perspective.

Now the body had a bath in "Glanzer", followed by primer and I ordered new decals (but different ones) on the web.

I've heard that Ts13 can be fickle. I've been lucky with it so far but have talked to a couple people who have had similar issues with decals. Sorry that happened to you Stéphane.

TS 13 is DEATH to decals. You now are in the club with the rest of us who found out the hard way. When I bother to clear coat, I use Testors gloss coat in a can.

Think I only have one can anyway. I have only used it a couple times but must have gotten lucky. Most of the time I've stuck with good old Testors.

Tamiya TS13 is a bit „tricky" imho: when Applied in very thin layers over Decals it could work out. But its always kind of risky.
Personaly i get very Good results with mr. Super klear from gunze. It is very mild and can be sanded and polished easily.
I am also using a 2k system (primer, base color, clear) but for „lazy mood" mr. Super klear works very well 😉👍🏽
