I wish I could like this more than once 👍 How did you do your exhaust stains and is there a good color reference for the Ki-84 you used? I've the really old Tamiya kit close to starting and it's hard to find references for this bird on color call outs. Tamiya's 1973 instructions aren't that helpful.

It's nice thank you 🙏
@John to achieve the smoke from the exhausts, I used Tamiya XF52 earth flat paints first, then XF69 nato black and just after I rolled a cotton swab lightly soaked in Vallejo thinner for the rest of the colors to use, I indicated them in the "Nakajima Ki-84 KO" project with book references and detailing, stencils, I chose to make a base color "tea brown" the next Ki-84 I will use the tint " midori iro" green yellow RC333

Thank you! 👍 I apologize for not checking the project page before asking, excellent references. The exhaust technique is a nice effect, the Vallejo thinner gives a nice "oily" look like all radial engine exhaust seems to have and blends the exhaust from the separate stacks together.

You're welcome 😉 I would have tested the ammo "shader" but I don't have one in the workbench If any model makers have opinions on this product?

wow - some seriously cool weathering, really well executed - technically and artistically!! 👍 Also very fresh to see a "burned, not chipped" japanese aircraft (something James Bond could have said I guess...) 😄
Top job and definitely will be an eye-magnet wherever it goes!
