The whole model was painted with matt varnish, than used super clear III to make the wet mud effect.

The wet mud is finished.

Some progress with the weathering... This time I think the mud effect is in quite a good shape. Not finished, because I would like to wait the drying time to check the colors and add some other shade to be more interesting.

Unfortunately, I forgot to drill the exhaust pipe before painting... but never too late. Breaklights, index and some details added too.

Shovel and axe are painted.

Just a little carpenter work to upgrade the airbrush station. 🙂 I'm curious about it's working.

Album image #20
Oil, wash, some detail painting and pigments. It is almost done, some more hours and the BTR is out from factory. 🙂)

Super Clear varnish and some decals are added. The turret numbering is fictional, but based on pictures.

I decided to use a lighter shade of green because my previous BTR-60 PB work was a little bit darker than I wanted. The weathering became too emphatic in that case. The plain is to give a laquer layer and after it I will do some additional toning.

Base colour and some tones.

And the primer is finished. There are some inaccuracy, so I will correct some gaps and casting errors.

Album image #26
I drilled the KPV barrel to give it some realistic look. I didn't buy any metal gun barrel for this kit.

Some on the turret also...

very nice job on this small BTR. And very nice base for the airbrush. i would suggest a small addition. two small horizontal pieces in the left arm, to sit at the sides of the valve, that would avoid the airbrush from rotating. then you can leave the airbrush in that nice base, fully loaded with paint, and not to worry about it spilling the paint accidentally.
you can also make a small hole in the left arm, but then the airbrush need to move forward and may have not much support in the right arm.

Hey Spanjaard! Thank you for the usefull feedback. I admit that I haven't used this setup yet, so you saved a floor cleaning action for me. 🙂)
