I did something similar with a 1:200 French frigate. I learned that the self adhesive aftermarket deck, has limited adhesion, so if there's any bending one would be wise to somehow consider adding cyanoacrylate in places, but ofc one must be careful because there's probably no chance to reposition the deck after being glued on with superglue. 🙂

I think packed sails will look the best, never have been convinced by the look of raised sails made in fabric and certainly not with sails made of plastic sheets.

Yes, I agree that furled sails would look better. I experimented with cigarette paper years ago but that didn't work either.

Yeah, its just woodplanks (self cut) glued with woodglue. The rigging is selfmade ja, the Plastic one is crappy. My plan for the sails is not fully set
