Mack Superliner
Too bad they didn't get licensed
My inspiration
Engine in primer
Little bits get paint
Chassis in primer.
Engine about buttoned up
I'd put the fan on but this kit had the one piece fan/ radiator.
Wheel and tire package
I even detailed the red "high range" selector
Happy accident making the texture. Looks like real cast metal now instead of smooth plastic
Frame painted
Interior started
Tried my hand at airbrushing Alclad chrome this morning. I think it will do alright. First time airbrushing.
Have to assemble things square
Sleeper and cab assembled
Throwing primer around
Love it when I can throw some color on a black chassis
Love how the shocks and brake chambers pop
Throwing some color
Found some 1/16" pinstripe at my local body shop supply. Sure makes for easy and clean detailing of the air tanks.
Engine installed, we've got a roller!
Test fit, nice
Have my two primer and two secondary fuel tanks base coated for alclad chrome.
Well, these decals are crap as well. This is what they did in the water.
This is after 10 minutes of trying to save it. Obviously gave up. I guess I'll go plain blue.
Getting some more done
I really don't like how my tanks turned out
Looking out from the sleeper
Test fit
Looks good from here
Just a few more bits and the sleeper to install to finish up.
Getting the mirrors on, the last step before finish decal work.
There we are, done!
The stripes are actually from the AMT Peterbilt Wrecker kit.
Not really what I was going for. I spent 70$on custom decals that were junk so I just went with something else.
Engine
Left the roof
My custom door cards.
Took this to Major Arts and Hobby model show on 9-9-23 and picked up a second place in its class. I do like how it turned out even though it's not how I originally planned.

I've had the inspiration on my phone for a long time, time to try and build something similar.
