An enjoyable build, with only minor issues (the clear piece canopy, again...it must be an Airfix failing).

A bigger failing on this kit than the suboptimal canopy fit is the truly abysmal decals. The upper wing roundels disintegrated in process. Aftermarket decals are on order.

*sigh* What a long, drawn-out disappointment. I ordered aftermarket decals online, only to have what arrived be entirely inadequate in that they lacked the proper roundels. So I returned those and acquired a more updated Airfix set....which silvered when applied.

I rather enjoyed building this out, but the whole decal thing was nightmarish.

I finally got a coat of Future and the Dulcote on and it improved the final look marginally. I still have 'silvered' decals. It'll be interesting to see how Iatleri's kit goes together. I also have a Special Hobby C-60 Lodestar. And a Ventura. And a Harpoon.
