Re-engined aircraft that they forgot to include repainting in the contract (story from now retired co-worker). Engines were pulled off retired airliners, put on the tankers, and returned to the squadrons still in the airliner bare metal.

Nathaniel SwiftPaint like Linn's story about getting tankers back from being upgraded with used airliner engines, but forgot to put repainting the engines into the contract.
