StuG III Ausf. C, 7,5cm StuK 40/L48

Building this to see if the red box Dragon kits are really as bad as they're made out to be some times.

So far, I can see a major difference in the quality of the castings. In the red box stug III, the sanding work is necessary on almost every part, like a lot of Revell kits. There is a fair portion of small miscastings on the pieces, which can also be fixed by sanding.

This Imperial series kit by no means compares favourably to the '39-'45 series or smart kit variants, so do not expect the usual "pampering" of other Dragon 1:35 kits.

That said, it's not bad as such. Just don't pay 30 euros for it!
