Su-27PU (Su-30), T10PU
From the Su-27UB two-seat trainer, the Su-27PU heavy interceptor was developed. The design plan was revamped and the Su-27PU was renamed to Su-30 by the Russian Defense Ministry in 1996.
Five Su-27PU (blue 50 to 54) were delivered between 1994–1996 to 54 GIAP (54th Guards Fighter Air Regiment) of PVO at Savaslyeyka, where the 148th TsBPiPLS was based (equipped with A-50 and MiG-31). After entering military service Su-27PU received the official name Su-30. The 54th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment was disbanded in 2005 and converted to 3958th Air Base. In 2006 the remaining Su-30s were moved to Lipyetsk, where they were repainted and renumbered (66, 67 and 69).
This represents the 6th Su-30 ever constructed:
Blue 53 - factory numer 96310104007.
First flight: 1993 (G. Bulanov and W. Maksimyenkov from IAPO).
Later (1997) Russian flags on tail fins
